My nomination is the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado. Close second is the Cord L-29.

Well you took two of the best choices but a 1968 Rivera is pretty excellent as well.
EDIT: I am stupid and this is RWD
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:08 |

I really like the FTO
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:08 |

RWD
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:09 |

Toronado 'nough said.

My great-grandma had one of those FWD Eldorados. Tire killer apparently.
But I think the Impala is a very pretty car.

"OMG Taction Avant!" in 3, 2, ...

Lancia Fulvia.

Now we're talking!

You were so close. Twice.
There are others, I just can't think of them right now.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:11 |

The Toronado's look great, but the Eldo's have much more presence.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:11 |

Well now I feel like a dumb ass. I had been told it was FWD. I guess the Toronado is up there with the Cord and Caddy
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:11 |

lol at the chrome eyebrow above the taillights.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:12 |

Do you mean the Toronado?

![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:12 |

I was about to say Cord 810.
But I think the Lancia wins.
Touche.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:13 |
|
Nope I had been told the Rivera was FWD but I had been told wrong.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:13 |

They were the same platform, but the Rivera's stayed RWD through '79.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:15 |

dis pretty nice
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:16 |

True and Eldo's came with 500+ cubic inch engines.

Nah, the Toronado is a much cleaner design having seen both of them in the flesh. I think it looks fantastic and is a notch above the Eldorado (not that the Eldorado is bad by any means though).

Citroen Traction Avant (1934)
Citroen DS Series 3 (1967)
Lancia Fulvia Coupe (1965)
Peugeot 406 Coupe (1996)
Peugeot 306 GTi-6 (1996)
Peugeot 205 GTi (1984)
And that is but a sampling. I could never pick just one, though my affections are leaning toward the Fulvia for the moment.

I nominate the Cord 810/812.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:24 |

It does look pretty awesome.

Is Europe allowed to play, or is that cheating?
This could go on a while...
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:25 |

Second reply: Actually I think I believe the Toronado looks better because the Cadillac resembles other Cadillacs too much, whereas the original Toronado looks like almost nothing that came before or after it.

This.

Yeah, about 2 people now.

Agreed, this thing is gorgeous.
![]() 05/13/2014 at 21:40 |

For me it's really a toss up between the Eldorado and Toronado. I like them both.

An M3 in reverse?
Or a Cord. I love that car.

I also nominate the Buick Reatta

I nearly put this one in my list by mistake. Not sure anyone would have noticed as fast :)

I think I win.

If there's one thing America knows how to do, it's making a large car look good enough that you don't mind it being FWD.
![]() 05/14/2014 at 09:17 |

Close, but maybe it's Zagato counterpart is even better:

Barges ain't got shit on the DS Henri Chapron decapotable. Jane Birkin agrees.
